Melt Salon was originally created because of a need for practical, continued education. During the 25-year span of Marcela’s career in the hair industry, she witnessed a large gap in our profession. In the beginning, she decided to fill that gap by sharing the knowledge she created through constant, continued education of her own and never settling for mediocrity.
Young stylists would automatically gravitate to her energy, creating a mentor in her. Through her education, many stylists were able to learn important basic information that most year-long assistant programs lack.
This exact training was given to her daughter, Bianca. As Bianca learned these principles very quickly, they both realized they could help so many more stylists together. Bianca then began implementing her own signature techniques and developing a new understanding of Marcela’s basic teachings, therefore creating what Melt Salon is today.
Being able to give our Melt stylists the tools to succeed as they continue training and implement new ideas makes us so happy because we know they will become self-sufficient stylists.
